Customer Engineer

Location: London or Southampton
Expected start date: ASAP

This role sits within the Syfter division at Filament. Syfter is our product offering predominantly aimed at Private Equity firms who are looking to improve the efficacy and efficiency of their sector research, business intelligence and lead generation via the use of AI & data engineering.

As a Customer Engineer you are responsible for the technical success of a client project and product implementation of our Syfter technology. You act as the glue binding the customer, the business analysts and our client delivery team on one hand, and with the internal Syfter product and data engineering teams on the other. You are the technical point of contact for a customer through all life cycles of the project, overseeing their implementation of Syfter and helping them continuously improve and grow their use-cases through discovery, proof of concepts and technical leadership.

Your role will include:

  • Being a subject matter expert on Syfter — in both technical and sales strategies domains — and acting as a trusted technical advisor to both customer stakeholders and internal teams
  • Performing technical audits of implementations to resolve escalated issues and suggest technical best practices
  • Using your business and technical analysis skills to solve complex issues, and creating innovative workarounds and solutions to unique business needs
  • Writing scripts using the Syfter APIs to pull custom reports for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Working with clients, third party providers and internal data engineering teams to scope, develop and deploy custom Syfter Integrations
  • Working with the product management and development teams to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases
  • Learning about the experiences other customers have with Syfter, so that you can apply these successes and learnings to your future conversations

At Filament, we enable organisations to apply artificial intelligence to their core area of expertise. We help businesses and other institutions to bottle the skills of their teams into machine learning models so that they can focus on doing what they do best, more effectively. We’re approved partners of Google, IBM and Microsoft, and have worked with HSBC, American Express, NBCUniversal, Sealife, McDonalds, T-Mobile and a number of private equity and hedge funds. Check out our case studies to see some examples.

Our offering includes a range of products and solutions:

  • Our solutions agency builds AI technology as well as the applications that use it, like conversational interfaces and dashboards
  • Enterprise Bot Manager (EBM) is our chatbot management product
  • Syfter is our AI-powered company insight platform

We use our values to define what we mean when we say “you’re doing a great job”. They are our framework for everything we do in HR and People operations.

  • Autonomy, able to own what you’re working on
  • Boldness, to reflect Filament AI’s ambition
  • Collaboration, able to help others do their best work
  • Deep Fun, as in Deep Learning, able to make Filament AI a really enjoyable place to work (and able to come up with better AI-related puns than that)
  • Excellence, so that we can trust each other to do great work well

This role offers a great opportunity to join a company with a unique value proposition in the AI industry.

Filament AI has 3 offices globally – London, Southampton and Toronto – and our team is expanding rapidly. We put a lot of faith in our people, treat them really well and have a lot of fun together.

At the same time, we believe that our approach to AI will make us a global leader in enterprise-grade AI technology.

We love working with each other, and we’re confident we’re building something massive.
