Full Stack Developer - Toronto Office

The Full Stack Developer role sits within the Solutions function at Filament AI, and will be based in our Toronto office. Full Stack Developers play a crucial role in our mission to enable applied artificial intelligence by building proprietary AI-driven applications. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll work on:

• Building bespoke AI-driven web applications
• Implementing web workers and data fetching servers to process large amounts of data from various sources 
• Maintaining and updating existing projects
• Collaborating with other developers (code/design reviews, discussions, lunch and learns, etc.)
• Creating in-house solutions to improve existing development process
• Preparing effective unit and integration testing to validate systems against their functional requirements
• Laterally collaborating with many facets of the business including the delivery team, machine learning team, solutions strategy team, leadership team, and external clients

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
• Experience developing Node.js applications
• Professional experience with at least one frontend framework (React.JS preferred)
• Fluent understanding of relational databases (MySQL preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience working with legacy code and adapting to legacy frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud computing services like AWS / GCP and exposure to DevOps activities 
• Knowledge of agile and scrum methodology
• Experience supporting a live production environment
