Job Title: Junior Machine Learning Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

Location: Remote Hybrid London/Southampton (opportunities are available for remote working throughout Europe for the right candidate).

About the role:

As a junior machine learning engineer, you will be developing data-driven solutions to business problems.

You will be working alongside experienced ML engineers, QAs, product designers, and product managers to produce complex and industry-leading software to enable investors and financial analysts to identify and monitor companies of interest in the fast-moving private market sector.

As part of the ML team you will develop and explore data sets than can be on-boarded for analysis and models scaled and automated for implementation.

Responsibilities:

• 🔨 Build, design and execute data cleaning, data exploration and feature engineering.
• 💻Design data initiatives across datasets including financial data and text data.
• 🤖Research ML algorithms using statistical tools and techniques to improve the platform models and help generating new ones.
• 📈Work in design, implementation and consulting of ML models & deploying pipelines.
• 🤝 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
• 🤓 Learn about the latest industry trends and technologies

Experience Required:

• Some experience in statistical modelling, quantitative analysis, data visualisation.
• Some experience in Machine Learning models including supervised & unsupervised learning.
• Python – including the libraries pandas, numpy, scikit learn, keras
• Git
