Lead Project Delivery Manager - Toronto Office
ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lead Project Delivery Manager role sits within the Delivery function at Filament AI, and will be based in our Toronto office. The Lead Project Delivery Manager plays a crucial role in our mission to enable applied artificial intelligence by acting as a liaison between the client and the delivery team while managing all aspects of projects to ensure the delivery of great services and solutions.
As a Lead, Project Delivery Manager, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of the Filament AI offering (services plus platform) and the application to establish yourself as an expert.
- Aid in shaping departmental strategy and direction for delivery management through defining and implementing best in practice standards and agile processes.
- Lead Filament projects and programs by autonomously scoping broad concepts into structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics to then create executable implementation plans.
- Own and monitor progress, managing risk and keeping key stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Manage portfolio of project timelines and budgets to maximize revenue and deliver margins against project baseline through optimal project delivery.
- Be responsible for management and coordination of contracted services to internal teams ensuring relevant deliverables are met as defined in relevant SoWs.
THE SKILLS YOU'LL NEED
- 5+ years of experience independently managing projects in management consulting, finance, business operations, tech implementation, or similar quantitative focused role.
- Identify opportunities for business process optimization/standardization, process re-engineering and process design to achieve business objectives.
- Strong client management skills, possessing the ability to run effective client meetings and interact with key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, ability to lead technical discussions with a non-technical audience.
- Analytical problem-solving ability, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to take ownership and run projects in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Understanding of common analytical and presentation tools (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).
THE EXPERIENCE WE'D LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Experience at a startup, a small company, or in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Experience working within AI is a plus.
- Experience leading a project team
