Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000

Location: Remote Hybrid London/Southampton (opportunities are available for remote working throughout Europe for the right candidate).

We use ML to enrich the platform by helping our clients generate new deal opportunities and key events around the companies of interest.

About the role:

As a mid-level machine learning engineer, you will be developing data-driven solutions to business problems.

You will be working alongside experienced ML and Data engineers, QAs, product designers, and product managers to produce complex and industry-leading software to enable investors and financial analysts to identify and monitor companies of interest in the fast-moving private market sector.

As part of the ML team you will develop and explore data sets than can be on-boarded for analysis and models scaled and automated for implementation. You will also stay up to date on best-in-class software, tools, and techniques to ensure that we can provide clients with best-in-class solutions. You will support upskilling of staff on relevant software, tools and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • 🔨 Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for various projects and applications.
  • 💻Provide technical expertise on developing data assets, data models and create production quality ML pipelines to develop and deploy scalable data science products.
  • 🤖Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • 📈Build and maintain scalable and reliable machine learning systems.
  • ▶️Evaluate and optimize model performance, using methods such as cross-validation
  • 🤝 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • 🤓 Learn about the latest industry trends and technologies and ave intellectual curiosity that inspires you to develop and generate innovative answers to complex questions.

Experience Required:

  • Degree in a quantitative and/or business discipline. Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics.
  • Technical understanding of machine learning; experience with deriving insights by performing algorithms including classification models, clustering analysis, time-series modelling, NLP.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with popular machine learning libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment (Git, MLflow,Docker,Flask)
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling techniques.
  • Experience with data engineering, including proficiency in data cleaning, data processing, and data management techniques.
  • A good understanding of software development best practices and experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
