Job Title:  Mid-Level Product Designer

Salary: £48,000 to £58,000 or dependent on experience

Location: Remote Hybrid London/Southampton (opportunities are available for remote working throughout Europe for the right candidate).

About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Designer to contribute to continuously improving our business data platform, Filament Syfter. The ideal candidate will have experience in user-centred product design and prototyping in different fidelities. Furthermore, they will conduct or analyze user research and, based on the obtained insights, create design artifacts that are most effective in exploring and solving different problems.

As a Product Designer, you will be:

• Working in a cross-functional and empowered Product team, collaborating daily with Product Management, Software Engineering and other relevant team members to identify user problems and opportunities and produce viable solutions
• Conducting and analysing research to better understand and define the problem space and user needs (this might include competitive analysis, user interviews, surveys and other methods)
• Creating and testing (whenever possible) user flows, wireframes, prototypes and full visual designs
• Collaborating with developers and engineers, ensuring their technical inputs are considered when designing and making sure the developed solutions respect usability best practices
• Presenting your work to the broader team and clients to obtain feedback to be used in design iterations
• Helping in improving and maintaining the product’s design guidelines
• Continuously learning about Product Design best practices and trends alongside other team members

Required:

• +3 years of experience, some of it working on digital platforms with complex flows
• Experience in working through the full product design process (from research to high-fidelity prototypes )
• At least one case study (in any preferred format) that showcases such a process. It doesn’t need to be a full portfolio, but whatever you choose has to exemplify your thought process clearly, decisions and some of the final deliverables you produced
• Ability to present your work and the rationale behind it
• Knowledge of Figma (or other similar prototyping tools)

Nice-to-have:

• Having strong UI skills, particularly quantitative data visualisations
• Experience working in an empowered and cross-functional Product Team alongside Product Managers and Software Engineers
